Relating with Simon the Sorcerer

I was wondering how many people can relate with Simon the Sorcerer in Acts 8. I had written a post with my thoughts, but it ended up being too long, and I felt that maybe it wasn't necessairly an appropriate post, and it didn't really convey what I wanted it to. So, I decided to keep it short and see if you guys have the same thoughts about how we as humans (and moreso Christians) are similar to Simon, or even any other thoughts about it. If you do, I'd love to hear them. If not that's fine too.
